Brian's Performances
Surviving video preserves something photographs cannot: Brian making music in real time—with friends, with his school band and at home with his mother.
These recordings are presented as part of the Brian Crawford Memorial family archive. Together they document Brian not simply as someone who loved music, but as a young musician actively performing it.
His Guitar • His School • His Family
Music as Brian lived it.
Brian's musical story survives in several forms across this memorial archive: recordings of his voice, original music, photographs, family memories and video. This page has one focused purpose—to preserve the surviving footage of Brian performing.
The three recordings below span the final year of Brian's life, from a school-day Spring Fling performance in May 2004, to Christmas music at home in December 2004, to a Prague High School band performance in February 2005.

Watch Brian Perform
Each video remains embedded from the Brian Crawford Memorial YouTube archive so the original moving record—not a recreation—remains at the center of the page.

Watch on YouTubeWhy These Recordings Matter
Not a reconstruction. The surviving record.
These videos were not created years later to explain who Brian was. They capture ordinary moments while he was living them: a school performance, music at home on Christmas Day and a high-school basketball-game band performance.
Viewed together, they show different settings in which music was part of Brian's life—informal, family and school. They also connect naturally with the larger memorial archive preserving his voice and original music.

Brian Crawford Memorial Archive
Performance is one chapter of a larger life.
Brian's music belongs alongside the other surviving records of his life—family photographs, baseball, school, friends, his Memorial Service and the memorial work that followed. The archive is organized so each type of historical material can stand on its own while remaining connected to the larger story.
