Scholarship Recipients
Behind every scholarship record is a student, a family and a moment when Brian's memorial became part of someone else's next chapter. This archive preserves those recipients, the surviving presentation photographs and the institutional grant record.
More than names in a grant ledger.
This archive combines family records, surviving presentation photographs, contemporary material and the later Communities Foundation of Oklahoma grant ledger. Where a photograph has not yet been recovered, the recipient remains in the record and is invited to help complete the archive.

Lane Stewart
The Crawford family personally funded the first scholarship while the permanent scholarship structure was still being developed. Lane later pursued technical training in Okmulgee to become a utility lineman. Crawford family recollection also preserves Lane and his mother as volunteers with the Brian Crawford Memorial Tournament and longtime youth-sports supporters.

The miniature bronze award tradition.
The Memorial archive also preserves the miniature bronze baseball figures associated with the scholarship tradition. These objects extend the award beyond a financial transaction and create a tangible connection to the Memorial's baseball history.
This page treats the statues as part of the surviving material archive. Additional documentation can be added as the history of when and how individual statues were presented is recovered.

Help us complete the scholarship archive.
Some recipients are represented by photographs, newspaper coverage and presentation records. Others currently survive only in the scholarship ledger. If you received a Brian Crawford Memorial Scholarship—or are a family member with a photograph, program, clipping or memory—please help us preserve that part of the story.
